Capability

Tell us what it has to do

We hold machining, forming, welding, optical assembly, electronic integration and environmental test in one building — the whole path from a drawing to a sealed, aligned, tested unit.

Most of what we make began as somebody else's requirement rather than our own product idea. A customer arrives with a drawing, or with a function that needs a unit built around it, and we work back from there.

How a requirement becomes a part

01 — Drawing or function

You send it

A drawing is ideal. A function and an operating environment is enough to start.

02 — DFM review

We assess it

Manufacturability, tolerance and material against our process envelope. You get a manufacturability view and a quotation.

03 — Tooling

We cut the tooling

Tooling and fixture design carried out in-house. We tool for customer programmes.

04 — First article

We build one

Built, dimensionally inspected in our quality room, and submitted with an inspection report.

05 — Qualification

We validate it

Against the acceptance standard, with environmental exposure where your specification calls for it.

06 — Series

We hold the rate

Into production. If a programme needs capacity we do not have, we tell you what it takes to put it in.

Capability

What we have built with it

Mechanical & Structural

Formed, machined and fabricated hardware — the structures everything else mounts to.

Built from: press forming to 420 t · CNC turning and milling · surface grinding · laser and TIG welding · dimensional inspection

Verified by: dimensional inspection in the quality room · hardness testing

Machined fittings, a formed sheet-metal bracket, a ground plate and a threaded housing ring

Forming, machining and welding sit in one building, so a structure and the parts that bolt into it are made to the same drawing by the same people. We hold the tolerance stack across the whole assembly rather than at each supplier boundary.

Electrical & Electromechanical

Motion, power and thermal control that has to stay accurate while everything around it moves.

Built from: CNC turning · surface grinding · winding · electromechanical assembly · calibration · vibration test · full-band thermal test

Verified by: precision gyroscope test rig · environmental chamber, -50 to +80 °C · vibration testing

A sealed instrument housing with a graduated scale window and connectors

Electromechanical subsystems fail at the interface between mechanical and electrical manufacture. We build both sides in-house, so we manage tolerance stack-up as one problem rather than negotiating it between suppliers. We calibrate and verify every unit on a purpose-built gyroscope test rig before release.

Optical & Electro-Optical

Sensing, imaging and vision hardware — from component design to a finished, tested unit.

Built from: precision machining · optical alignment · electronic integration · sealed housing assembly · environmental verification

Verified by: environmental chamber, -50 to +80 °C · dimensional inspection in the quality room

A housed camera with sunshield, two lens assemblies, a dome camera and a sealed enclosure

Optical performance is decided by alignment, sealing and thermal stability as much as by the elements themselves. We machine the housing, align the optics, integrate the electronics and verify across the operating band.

Aerial & Autonomous Systems

Structures, subassemblies and software for unmanned aerial platforms.

Built from: composite additive manufacture · CNC machining · assembly · dimensional inspection · vibration test

Verified by: vibration testing · dimensional inspection in the quality room

A quadrotor platform with carbon-fibre arms and a gimballed camera, beside a payload module and a spare arm assembly

Aerial platforms punish mass and reward stiffness. We keep design, machining, composite printing and assembly in the same building, which means more revisions can be built and flown before the design is locked.

Systems Software & Intelligence

The integration layer that ties the sensing hardware together.

Built from: algorithm development · multi-sensor integration · calibration data · field verification

Verified by: not yet verified — this layer is in development

Aerial view of forest and cleared land with machine-drawn boundaries and route lines overlaid on the terrain

Hardware-agnostic by design: we combine inputs from disparate sources through our own algorithms rather than binding to one sensor or processor architecture. This layer is in development. The lines below are marked accordingly and we will not claim otherwise until they ship.
